About this workshop
Dreams take us into the very heart of our healing; yet few clinicians receive any training in these powerful methods. Dream exploration allows us to problem solve, resolve current and past wounds and traumas, connect with generations that have passed, troubleshoot health issues, and develop action steps to enhance our lives. Repeating nightmares are frequently a sign of an unresolved trauma. Careful dreamwork can help get to the source and provide pathways to resolution. Linda brings extensive training, teaching, and clinical experience that supported the creation of her model for dream work. The GAIA method that she developed allows for gentle relational and resourced entry into nightmare scenarios. This greatly minimizes any potential for abreaction or re-traumatization that can occur if trauma work is done too quickly. Participants will add to their toolbox by working with clients’ dreams to support emotional growth and healing.
Dreamwork provides some of the most direct and unfettered access to our unconscious mind and the wisdom contained therein. In this interactive workshop, Linda will provide multiple roads into these skill sets with her own unique dreamwork methods, as well as those based on EMDR principles, IFS parts work, Jungian psychology, guided imagery, and psychodrama techniques.
Attention will be paid to contextualizing the dreamwork within the culture of the dreamer. The workshop will include lecture, Q and A, live demonstrations of methods, experiential exercises, and small group work.
